Kenneth Harris is the Managing Partner of MK Data Services, a member of the MK Group and the operator of MKDenial.com computerized trade services for customer screening. Formed in 1994 with Marty Kalin, of the MK Group, MK Data Services is recognized as the leader in export-compliance screening solutions and is the preferred data provider for SAP AG (NYSE:SAP), the industry's top vendor of enterprise business applications.
MK Data Services assists exporters by screening transactions against the wide array of restricted parties lists, e.g. Denied Persons List, Specially Designated Nationals List, Specially Designated Terrorists List, Proliferation Entities List, and others published by the US Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security as well as other US Government agencies including the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control and the State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
MK Data Services also provides daily screening of the Federal Register across the broad range of US Government activities affecting exports and strategic trade. MK Data Services provides to clients same-day e-mail texts of relevant Federal regulatory materials as they appear in the Federal Register.
Previously, Ken Harris had been Director of Operations for MK Technology's service, as Commerce Department-authorized vendor, to support electronic submission of export license applications to the US Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) and its successor the BIS.
Prior to joining the MK Group, Ken Harris had been a trainer and speaker on the Export Seminar Staff in the BXA. While with Commerce, his role was to educate exporters on compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Ken Harris holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in International Relations from the University of Maryland.
